
The Melagrana course is aimed at young people aged 13 and over.
General learning objectives.
Children who complete the five-year MELA course gain the skills they need to move on to the MELAGRANA course. The MELAGRANA course builds on what students learned in MELA, but it introduces more complex topics and covers a wider range of subjects. The course focuses on developing language skills and gaining new knowledge. Students continue studying the language by reading modern anthological texts, similar to those used in middle and high schools in Italy.
The course objectives are the following:
・Analysis and contextualization of texts
・Reflection on the literature of various genres
・Interdisciplinary expansions to explore Italian cultural themes and vocabulary
・Linguistic skills and knowledge

Day: 12 Saturdays per trimester
Schedule:
13:00-13:30 Welcome (optional lunch time)
13:30-16:30 Lessons (one our of P.E. or reading time)
TEXTBOOK
Each cycle, students will receive materials and teaching aids created by Il Centro. All materials and teaching aids are specifically designed for the corresponding course. The materials focus on strengthening communication skills, reading comprehension, writing order, and grammar in Italian. The cost of the materials is included in the enrollment fee.
