This course is open to children between the ages of 8 and 10 who have already acquired basic reading and writing skills.

General Learning Objectives

The MELA GIALLA course focuses on developing key skills in Italian, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Students strengthen and build on what they’ve already learned, exploring new vocabulary and more complex language structures. They also reflect on the language to better understand how it works.

Classroom activities focus on encouraging conversation and the use of spoken Italian.

The course themes include history, geography, science, and education. These topics introduce practical and commonly used vocabulary, making the lessons engaging. The goal is to help students use the language confidently and stay motivated to keep learning.

*The assignment of the class is subject to changes based on the child’s level of Italian.

TEXTBOOK

Each cycle, students will receive materials and teaching aids created by Il Centro. All materials and teaching aids are specifically designed for the corresponding course. The materials focus on strengthening communication skills, reading comprehension, writing order, and grammar in Italian. The cost of the materials is included in the enrollment fee.
